Considered to be an increasingly important utility, district cooling is a key part of the district energy systems that are the foundation of sustainable, economic, and urban development. With 80+ plants across the GCC and OT devices spread across all the plants, maintaining these devices was a challenge. The team had challenges in testing the Application and Devices before in hand prior to applying these in the production environment. The entity was in need to test their devices, application version, compatibility, and integration.
Working together with AWS and Unicorp Technologies LLC provided consulting and Professional services, Unicorp set up the multiple Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances running on the AWS Cloud with secure connectivity to their Test and Development Environment. Today, the Test and Dev environment is accessed online by agents which provides them with various versions of Applications for testing the OT devices.
Customer now has more agility with its Test and Development because of AWS. The company can scale up the environment on demand and, likewise, scale down if necessary. The company also avoids IT procurement cycles and time-consuming deployment projects.
